THE BARNS
We have two amazing barns, in this photo you see the B Barn which has 12 large stalls. The A barn has 25 stalls. There are lights throughout both barns to be sure that you can see and care for your horse easily at any time of day. We also have individual spigots at each stall to make watering extra easy! Stall floors are dirt and you will need to put shavings down. Purchase those from us or bring your own. bring your own buckets for water and feed. We also offer full service options to have your stall bedded before you arrive, to have our team handle mucking for you, and to strip your stall on departure. See that information below!
THE PADDOCKS
Our paddocks are spread out all throughout the campground. We have a main paddocks area where the majority of them are that we call “The Shaded Paddocks". There are over 35 paddocks spread out among a beautiful little forest of trees where strung market lights throughout so that in the evening hours there is still plenty of light. There are also some areas where sites have paddocks that back up directly behind them. Most paddocks have either cover by trees or by canopy and each paddock has it’s own water spigot. Bring your own buckets for water and feed, and a pitchfork to muck. Paddocks vary in sizes with most being 16x16, a few smaller ones that are 12x12 and a few larger ones that are 16x40 if you bring two horses that can go out together.
Your horses will feel right at home at Black Horse Resort Ranch. We offer two beautiful barns, both with 12x12 stalls:
A Barn – Enclosed barn with two wide aisles and 25 stalls
B Barn – Shedrow-style barn with 12 stalls
Both barns are well-lit so you can comfortably care for your horse at any time of day. Each stall includes a dedicated water spigot for easy watering. You’ll bring your own feed and water buckets. Never to worry though, if you forget anything at all, we have most of what you could need in the tack shop on site! In B Barn, you’ll have metal gates with chain closures, and in A Barn you’ll have the option to use a stall guard (so your horse can hang its head out) or keep the sliding door closed for extra security. Stall floors are dirt and require bedding — bring your own shavings or purchase them from us.
We offer many full service amenities, one of them being stall-bedding, which you can add to your booking for a $20/stall one time fee, and we will have your stall fluffy and bedded for you on arrival! On a daily basis, it is up to you to keep your stall or paddock clean (muck buckets and pitch forks will be available nearby, muck buckets are picked up by the tractor every morning and must be out by 10am). You can opt for stall cleaning on departure, so that on your last day you don’t have to worry about it, for $20/stall. Otherwise, we do expect that your stall be left clean and free of manure or hay from your horses stay.
Across the property, you’ll find more than 50 paddocks, each with its own water source. Paddocks vary in size and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, unless they are specifically behind an RV site, then that paddock is assigned to that site and cannot be used otherwise. Many are shaded by trees or covered by canopies, giving your horse comfort from the Florida sun.
Our main paddock area, known as “The Shaded Paddocks,” sits nestled in a small forest of trees. Horses can relax in natural surroundings, and in the evenings, market lights strung throughout create a warm, inviting glow.
Whether you prefer a barn stall or a shady paddock, your horse will enjoy safe, comfortable accommodations while you enjoy your stay at the ranch.
